Over the years staff and volunteers have tried to keep the residents occupied.
Some of the activities available to residents are: church, bible study, exercise classes, knitting, library, bingo, movies, music. We want to enable arts & crafts classes this year.
Every fortnight an entertainer performs for the residents and sometimes the carers put on a little concert themselves. These take place on either a Tuesday or Saturday morning to coincide with morning tea.
The home has a little Kombi bus which enabled residents to go to the shops once a week, but the driver left and now the residents have to catch a lift with the bus from Allison Homes.
Management has agreed to the use of a room as a permanent library. Resident Elsie Scott will be the librarian and some other residents will be elected to assist her.
