As of 3rd May 2016 there are a total of 67 residents staying in the EBV home. Of these 26 are accommodated in Emma Barter and 30 in Victoria Memorial. A further 11 residents are housed in the frail care facility.
The home can accommodate 37 in the Emma Barter section, 35 in the Victoria section and another 17 in the Daphne Bennett Frail Care section. Thus, the home has 89 beds, but has 21 vacancies at present. Hopefully, by the end of 2016 the home will have an additional 3 double rooms, once the old manager's flat has been renovated and there are plans afoot to create an additional 6 rooms in a new frail wing too.
The fittest residents, who for all intents and purposes can look after themselves, have been gathered in the Emma Barter Home. Those who need assistance have been brought to the Victoria Memorial side. The frailest are kept under 24 hour observation in the frail care wing, but this can only accommodate 16 beds at present. Thus some potential residents who need frail facility are waiting for the extensions to the frail care to be completed toward the end of 2016. This will enable a further 6 beds (all single rooms). This needs extra funding and has been placed on hold until such time as these funds are made available.

These lists change quite often due to deaths, residents moving to the frail centre and more rooms being made available as part of the expansion process.
